The Diary of Lord Ronald GowerLord Ronald Gower was a pinwheel of upperclass Victorian society, including its bohemia. At the age of 38, he published My Reminiscences, and later Old Diaries: 1881-1901. Both were extremely well-received.

However his original diaries on which these were based, amounting to 48 volumes, have remained neglected. A privately-funded crowd transcription effort in 2025 saw the diaries for 1867 and 1868 fully transcribed, and those for 1901 and 1902 partially. These are now published by Alchemie Academic in fully-annotated editions for scholars.

Readers with a general interest in Lord Ronald Gower will be better served with his own two biographical works, which are in the public domain, but most especially volume two of the trilogy A Secret Between Gentlemen, which contains the first full and frank account of his extraordinary life.
